These new premium shoe trees are designed to be reminiscent of lasted shoe trees, where the fit is excellent in most shoes even though they do not have a split toe part. This thanks to the drop-shaped front that makes the shoe fill in a nice way. The concave underside means that it does not affect the footprint formed in the shoe's insole and cork filling. A good pair of shoe trees will extend the lifespan of your shoes significantly, put them in immediately after use, and preferably let the shoes dry for at least a day before using them again.
